Emma Kim

Emma Kim is a Data Science Fellow with the UCLA Voting Rights Project, a position funded by the Four Freedoms Fund. In this role, she supports the analysis of population and voter datasets to identify trends and study voting patterns. Emma also assists NEO Philanthropy’s partner organizations with data queries and serves as a liaison for groups without extensive data capacity, helping them better understand the quantitative impact of their programs and the needs of the communities they serve.

Emma holds a B.S. in Statistics and Data Science with a minor in Digital Humanities from UCLA. During her undergraduate studies, she built a strong foundation in R, Python, and data visualization tools such as Tableau and ArcGIS. Her background includes internships and collaborative projects focused on predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and data-driven storytelling. She is passionate about using data science to address social challenges and plans to pursue a Master’s in Data Science to further advance her expertise in data analysis and visualization.
