Angela Gutierrez
Angela Gutierrez is a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at UCLA. Her research areas include Race Ethnicity Politics, American Politics, and Methods. Her dissertation examines the role of political threat on Latino identity and political participation. Angela believes that it is imperative that we invest in and better understand Latino political participation so that the needs of the community can be better served. For LPPI, Angela has co-authored and conducted extensive research on the Latino vote choice within California as well as overall in the midterm elections Angela’s research has been published in Political Research Quarterly. She is a 2020-2021 Marvin Hofffenburg Fellow and her research is supported by the Fund for Latino Scholarship.
