Policy Fellow

BLANCA ESTELA ALBA CEDILLO (she/her) is a first-year graduate student in the Master of Public Policy program at the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs. As an incoming Policy Fellow within the UCLA LPPI Research Department, she is passionate about the intersection of law and public policy, specifically as they relate to immigrant rights and educational equity.

Currently, Blanca holds various leadership positions including being a Co-Founder and Advocacy Co-Director of the Undocumented Student-Led Network(USN), an organization actively advocating for the expansion of resources and opportunities for undocumented students in higher education. Also, she is a Poderosa Fellow at Poder Latinx gaining the necessary tools to educate and engage in her local community to help close the gap in civic participation and increase Latinx’s political representation in the U.S.

Prior to graduate school, she attended and graduated from UC Riverside in 2022, where she received her BA in Sociology. Motivated by her lived experiences as a Latinx immigrant and first-generation college student, Blanca is committed to advocating for immigration reform and hopes to pursue a J.D. in the near future to become an attorney to provide accessible legal services to her community in San Diego, CA.
