Citlali Tejeda
CITLALI TEJEDA (she/her/hers) is a third year undergraduate student majoring in Public Affairs with minors in Statistics and Data Science, Professional Writing, and Environmental Systems and Society. She is an incoming UCLA LPPI Fellow who will be working within the Research Department, reflecting her commitment to research-based policy.
At UCLA, Citlali serves as a Peer Learning Facilitator for the Academic Advancement Program where she provides guidance and mentorship to students from underrepresented communities. During the summer, she worked as a research assistant conducting a quantitative and qualitative analysis of UCLA’s Undergraduate Research Center for Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences. This year, she will be serving as a UCLA representative in the Scholars Transforming Through Research Council where she will advocate for the impact of undergraduate research.
Citlali is a first generation Latina from South Gate, CA. Her parents immigrated to the US from Mexico and Guatemala. Citlali aims to conduct research that will serve towards uplifting and empowering minority communities, with a focus on education reform. She hopes to utilize these skills in her future career path in law and politics.
