Diana Garcia
Diana Garcia is a 2021 Policy Fellow who studies Public Policy at UCLA’s Luskin School of Public Affairs. Diana believes in the importance of bridging the education gap in order to empower the next generation of diverse leaders. While at LPPI, Diana has worked on LPPI’s Digital Upskilling and Economic Mobility project where she examines the technical skills gap in the digital economy and has learned about the critical need for policymakers to address the inherently polarizing nature of digitalization. Diana has co-authored research on the underrepresentation of Latinos in the application pool for the California Citizens Redistricting Commission. Before starting graduate school, Diana worked at Google where she developed culturally-relevant insights on the Multicultural Marketing team and later on the democratization of computer science while on the Engineering Education department.
