Legal Fellow

Kathryn Sorenson (she/her/hers) is a Legal Fellow with the UCLA Voting Rights Project. She is a member of the Class of 2025 and the David J. Epstein Program in Public Interest Law and Policy at UCLA Law. She is committed to empowering marginalized communities via voting rights, reproductive rights and education access. As a Legal Fellow with the Voting Rights Project, Kathryn supports attorneys on high-impact cases, such as Aquino v. Hazleton Area School District, that aim to dismantle barriers to representation.
Before attending UCLA Law, Kathryn assisted various community organizations in their efforts to enact equity-driven policy in the Oregon Legislature. She is a graduate of Gonzaga University, where she earned a BA in Political Science and developed her passion for advocacy and social change.
