Join the UCLA Latino Policy and Politics Institute (UCLA LPPI), the California Latino Legislative Caucus, HOPE, and CA State Senator Monique Limón on Wednesday, September 7th at 11:00am for a discussion on the importance of demographic diversity in state appointments and a public briefing on UCLA LPPI’s new report, which provides a comprehensive overview of the racial, gender, and geographic characteristics of over 400 appointed positions within California state boards and commissions.

This first-of-its-kind analysis offers an in-depth picture on the state of Latino representation across the Governor’s cabinet leadership as well as on influential state boards and commissions that play a critical role in advising the state administration, establishing statewide public policy priorities and regulatory standards, and determining the allocation of billions of dollars in state funds and public resources.
