Supporting Latino entrepreneurship is vital for empowerment in the U.S., as the 5 million Latino-owned businesses are key to wealth and stability. However, these entrepreneurs face challenges like loan access, business growth, and networking. Traditional financial views often underestimate Latinos' leadership potential. The Economic Recovery and Entrepreneurship Project at UCLA LPPI aims to provide Latino business owners with the necessary tools to navigate the 21st-century economy successfully.

This free and public resource is the first of its kind and provides community-based organizations, policymakers, media outlets, philanthropists, and the private sector with downloadable data, interactive visualizations, and resources about a wide range of issues, including housing, education, health care access, income, poverty rates, and much more.

Using institutional student records and survey data, this issue brief explores the academic and labor market experiences and outcomes of Latino students and graduates of community college baccalaureate (CCB) programs. Although more research is needed to examine the effectiveness, efficiency, and equity of CCB programs, this study’s findings suggest that these programs show promise for the Latino community.

This exploratory study investigates the experiences of ethnic small business owners on the topics of access to capital, digital technology, climate change, sustainability and the impacts of COVID-19.
