Legal Fellow

Ángel Valdez Ordoñez (he/him/el) is a Legal Fellow for the UCLA Voting Rights Project.  He is a member of the Class of 2025 at UCLA Law with a specialization in Critical Race Studies.  He is dedicated to empowering marginalized communities via voting rights, LGBTIQ+ rights, and immigration rights.  As part of his work in the Voting Rights Project, Ángel supports attorneys with impact litigation around voting rights and representation.
Before attending UCLA Law, Ángel graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Sociology and Social Welfare where he focused on issues of immigration, LGBTIQ+ advocacy, and sexual violence prevention.  As a first-generation college student, he is committed to centering marginalized communities and using the law to advance equity and accountability.
