A report by UCLA Latino Policy and Politics Institute showed that they helped flip two states —Arizona and Georgia—where they collectively make up about 80% of the nation’s Latino electorate, along with 11 other states.
The first report, “Implications of COVID-19 on At-Risk Workers by Neighborhood in Los Angeles,” was released in conjunction with the UCLA Latino Policy and Politics Institute. It delved into census information to identify the neighborhoods most vulnerable to economic hardship from the pandemic. Poorer ethnic areas would fare worse, the study predicted.
